Still on the path to the priesthood! Please, pray for me.
And yes, Jesus is still a Royals fan!
I will be living at the Pontifical North American College, and studying at the Angelicum.

Hogan and Danelle Haake were married in June 2000.  We lived for about 5 years in Iowa and then moved to St. Louis.  Our son Corvin was born in October of 2003 and our daughter Sonora was born in May 2006.  They are great kids with Hogan's playful nature and Danelle's let's-do-it attitude.

Hogan works for an IT company that develops computer security software named Centurion.  Danelle owns an environmental consulting company called Deer Creek Consulting and also runs a non-profit organization called the River des Peres Watershed Coalition.

Hogan is preparing for his second entry into the Missouri River 340 race - a race by canoe or kayak from Kansas City to St. Charles.  He and his brother Henry completed the race in 82 hours and 3 minutes last year - well below the 100 hour cut-off (for details and photos: http://snorkie.com/2008/mr340/index.htm).  This year, we are building our own canoe for the race.  Since one of us has to stay with the kids, Danelle races instead in the Clean Water Challenge - a roughly 30 mile trek in the vicinity of St. Charles.

We miss our CCM friends, though we have been able to catch up with a few of you on Facebook and we convinced others of you to move in next door (Steve Bueg is our neighbor!).  Hugs all around!

Dear friends,

I am presently serving at a House of Discernment for young men who are considering a vocation with my religious community, the Claretian Missionaries.

Brother Tom

                        May 18, 2009

Dear friends,

For your information, yesterday at 6:15 A.M. (Chicago time) my father passed away.  As many of you know, he had been sick since January when he was hospitalized with dehydration.  His health had improved recently and he was eating  and drinking much better than in January and March when he was admitted to the hospital.  I was hoping that he could still be around in August when I am planning to take my vacation and go visit my family in Augusta, Georgia.  Our Lord and Savior had other plans.  On the good side he doesn't have to suffer any more and I have somebody that I can pray to.

I will be leaving Chicago tomorrow (Tuesday) morning at 11:00 and arriving by 3:00 P.M. (Augusta time) to pray for my dad with my family. The wake service will be this Wednesday at 7:00 P.M. with the Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 2:00 P.M.

Thank you in advance for your prayers during this difficult time for me and my family.  They are appreciated and supportive to us at this time.

I will be returning to Chicago this Sunday to prepare for the provincial visitation with Fr. Eddie DeLeon.  Our local community will meet with Fr. Eddie next Monday and Tuesday.  Please continue to keep our community in your prayers.  We will be leaving St. Paul Parish and returning the parish back to the Archdiocese of Chicago in early July. As for me, as far as I know, I will continue to minister with the young adults who aspire to want to be Claretian or become lay leaders in our Catholic Church.

I hope this finds each of you well and receiving the rich blessings from our Lord, Jesus Christ.
In His Love,
Brother Tom

This summer I moved to Omaha, NE.  I started a job with Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs, Iowa.  I'm a retention specialist with TRIO/Student Support Services, which means I help students stay in school until graduation.  I truly love my job and feel this is the path God intended for me.

After lots of prayer, 40 weeks, four days, & 26 hours of labor, we got to see our beautiful baby. We expected a bald baby. Jana expected a girl. Most people expected him to be early and huge. But baby Henderson is better than expected. He's a boy, born June 9 at 6:08pm8 lbs. 10 oz., 22 in. with a head of blond hair

He had some rough times at St. John's. The nurses and doctors were great. Our son was born with meconium, that's poop, on his face. that put him in the IC unit for a while. He didn't want to eat right away, so he got lots of attention. We were able to sleep very little. We didn't call very many people. Some of you may just now be hearing of his arrival. We didn't even get around to naming him until a couple days later. Sorry for the slow delivery of this message and these photos. I hope you all get the chance to meet and get to know this great blessing soon.

By the way his first name is Isaac. His middle name is Matthew. And his last name is Henderson - that one was easier. Jana did really well. I appreciate her so much. We are so blessed and very grateful. Thanks to all those who have supported us and prayed for us. We welcome your continued interest and prayer.

Peace
God bless
Love

We are expecting our first child June 5th and are so excited! We decided to go the old fashioned route and be surprised as to whether it's a boy or a girl. Jana is currently working for ADT Security Services as an Outside Sales Rep, and Matt is working for Marine Grade Marketing in Nixa doing web and graphic design. We joined the Immaculate Conception parish over a year ago and are enjoying the family atmosphere there. Jana sings weekly in their Contemporary, Life-Teen choir. Matt volunteers as a mentor at the Pregnancy Care Center on a weekly basis and enjoys it immensely.

We would love to hear from anyone and everyone. God Bless!

We met at CCM in the fall of 1998. We were married August 7, 2004, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Springfield. We then spent a year in Terre Haute, Indiana, but moved back to Springfield on October 31, 2005. We are very glad to be back home. Matt is writing for various publications in town, including the Mirror. Jana is working for HealthMEDX, a healthcare software company, in Ozark, and is really enjoying her new career. We just moved into a house and are loving all the extra space an apartment cannot provide. We are attending mass at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish (SEAS). Jana recently joined their contemporary choir (surprise, surprise). We're both trying to get more involved.

We miss everyone at CCM and would love to hear from anybody! God Bless!!!

I am living back at home with my parents for a while, until I move in with other alum Kim Pratt and Angela Burian.  I am working part time at (where else?) McAlister's Deli.  This is just temporary until I figure what I want to do with my life.  Right now, the direction is missionary work.  I am also trying to fill my boring nights with something productive as I am starting to join committees from my home parish St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, the first one being a Social Justice Committee.  I'm excited to being moving on with this part of my life!

       Miss you all!
